Interesting. Thanks Seth. It has been a long time since I glanced through the novels. I never actually read them all the way through. They were clearly adapted from the scripts by the authors, not the original writers, so any extended dialogue was just made up to pad the novel out. Still, its still worth knowing if you find any interesting bits you care to share. Pentastar, I'm pretty sure the novel answers your question. I'll look it up when I get home today. I'm almost sure that Corrido is referring to the woman passed out in the lounge chair. In the book, Commissioner Miller is staring at her as Corrido comes out of the pool, wondering if she's dead (which she may be). You'll also see that Corrido nods in her direction ever so slightly as he comes out of the pool, showing that he's referring to her. I'll confirm after I glance through the novel. I have been going through them to get extra bits of "official" information. In the novels, much of the dialogue from the shows is expanded. Also interesting, the Pilot novel refers to the bike as a "brooding shade of black. A later series novel calls it "jet black."

Scott. Is there any chance you can make available some clips from your original broadcasts, such as the pilot with the tv series intro, commercial bumpers etc? I'm not sure if I have the ability to get video online. It might be possible, let me look into it.

Scott. Okay, ta. You should be able to rip a vcd off the video recording by plugging in the video to your pc, and then upload the vcd clip to YouTube via a moviemaker piece of software. I say this like it's easy. I haven't a clue how to do it. I was hoping you might ... If you can, it'd be awesome. I'm sure people would love to see it.

Unfortunately, I don't have any of the novels...I'm thinking one of these days I might have to buy them off eBay. As Dan alluded to, the question is whether the novel interpretation comes straight from the TV show or from the script. If the novels came from the script or the script writers, then we can safely say that was the intended meaning in that scene. However, if the novel writers just based their novels off the show as it aired, then that part of the novel is basically their understanding or interpretation of the scene. I'm guessing the girl was supposed to be dead, as there's definately a hint of that meaning in the scene when Corrido nods in her direction. I think the mistake they made was the timing of that scene; you don't really have time to ponder the implication that the girl at Corrido's pool might be dead because of the "shocking" revalation the Commissioner is one of the bad guys. Also interesting, the Pilot novel refers to the bike as a "brooding shade of black. A later series novel calls it "jet black." It's probably hard to write descriptions of Street Hawk in novels without just calling it "black". Of course, it would have been worse if they'd been more honest, "The sleek motorcycle pulled up, it's sorta greenish, sorta purplish metallic paint glittered in the sun, accented by the hairline cracks in the fiberglass."

Yeah. From the first few shots in Command Center, it looks like midnight blue metallic.

I'm going through the pilot episode today. I think I found a number of inconsistancies in the first five minutes. First was the police van the power ranger creeps totalled. The crash was devestating, crushing the entire front driver's carriage, and yet when the thing righted itself it was okay and the driver and passenger were sat there, looking on bewildered! The crash also made the back doors come open, which meant the explosive charges they put on were wholely unnecessary. Yet, they blew them anyways! When the bike thiefs are given chase by the cops they go underneath a bridge and turn a corner. On the left I believe you can see the edge of the frontage of the Command Centre warehouse (where Norm and Jesse's cars are usually parked) Though I confess, I could be wrong here, but the building looks quite close. I'll post a grab... When Altobelli is grilling the two cops at the storm drain area for letting the crooks get away, a mechanic is preparing to hitch up the police van that crashed a few miles over town! What's with that?

Is this Command Centre on the left of the screen? Bakery eh? Notice the overhead bridge in the background which might prove the above... This building must have been a real warehouse (i.e. not in Universal Studios) Command Centre interior is certainly a soundstage, and the alleys, billboard exit was filmed on the backlot. Agree?

I believe the exterior of the warehouse and billboard exit were shot on location somewhere in a industrial section of the L.A. or surrounding area. I've studied the Universal backlot for years, and have about 150 photographs of the the various locations on the lot. None look like the the warehouse or billboard exit.

Hi Scott. Always appreciate your comments. I think so too! I have looked through numerous backlot photos also and can't find command centre or, for that matter, the Met Police HQ which Burton Armus told us was part of the film studios. Wonder what soundstage cc interior was filmed in? Is there a list of films featured in each warehouse do you think?

No way, was that was on the backlot, that was shot on location for sure. I've searched for a list such as that, no luck. I'm sure, deep within Universals records exist such lists showing what soundstages past projects were assigned to. I would love to make friends with someone who works there...

Perhaps he is mistaken. I think we can allow the guy the odd mistake given he has to remember a show that finished 20 years ago! LoL Yeah, that building didn't look very much like a *set* tbh, it did look an awful lot like a real location, as did command centre exterior.
