This information came from Ryan. Cheers mate! www.moviereplicars.net/details.asp?id=684 MPC, the same guys who did the Jesse Mach coupe. How awesome would this be? Can I suggest we all email them to show our support? Pile on the pressure and maybe there might be further releases. I'd LOVE to have a scale die-cast of the bike, similiar to the Aoshima Airwolf, or the Joyride K.I.T.T

Sweet!
Where should I go to contact them to show my interest?
I wish Ducati was here to see this. That's awesome!

I'll try and look for an email for MPC for us.
Ducati has seen this. He's the one who sent me this link!

Well, great to see he's still bringing us his contributions, even if they are "second party".
I'd love to see this as a model, although I'd REALLY love to see it in 1:18 scale. I'll buy one either way, though!

Such is my skill for bringing people's dreams crashing back down to reality, I do regret having to issue this latest piece of news. I now think this is an old ad. I have been able to find out anything more about this "future release" item. With a bit of investigating, I've realised that MPC infact does no longer exist. It was brought out by ERTL? some years ago. A lot of the toys on this site are listing as "coming soon" and were never actually released. We've been given yet another tantalising glimpse about what we would have been in for had the show been more of a commercial success. We know MPC now as well as ERTL and Kenner had further SH toys on the production lines, ready for a second series release. Sorry! :-(

Dan,
Yes, you are correct; ERTL bought out MPC years ago. My very first model kit was an MPC kit (they were solid kits with some interesting accessories, although not the most detailed kits you could buy). However, even after ERTL bought out MPC I think they kept the MPC name around for marketing purposes.
Everything you are saying makes sense except for one problem: ERTL bought MPC out sometime in the early 90's before the internet was really prevalent. Therefore, I kind of doubt the web page you found this on is an old holdover from the original MPC days.
Honestly if they have the tooling for this kit I wouldn't be surprised if they released it, even if the show wasn't a commercial success. I've seen model kit companies release some of the most obscure things over the years. The only problem is that motorcycles aren't quite as popular as other vehicles for model kits because they usually need to be one of the larger scales to make it worthwhile to buy the kit and build them. Although I can see them doing a combo pack where there are kits to build Street Hawk, Airwolf, and Knight Rider. Wouldn't that be awesome!
Anyways, I won't get my hopes up about seeing this model in stores anytime soon, but at the same time don't give up on this. Is there an e-mail to send inquiries about this model to?

Well, what you say makes sense. The website this was on is only a collector's site. I found one email but haven't had a response, but if may not have got to the right people. I was hoping someone would be able to tell us for certain if this is an old issue number or a new one. I will keep trying if you guys would also do the same. It would be nice to know one way or another, but it's strange how only one site on the entire net has mentioned it and they aren't affiliated with ERTL at all.

That would be a nice little project. But If someone could have a crack at making a model SH and/or CC that would be brilliant. We already have a virtual SH in production. Its amazing whats happening for such an obscure show, Cant wait to get my hands on Tobies mod and make a remake of the SH intro ;D

Shame Blue Peter couldn't have done a Command Centre instead of doing Tracy Island! A few bog rolls, pipe cleaners, washing up bottles... I've often wanted to built a Lair set for Airwolf. I figured you could use the Boulder Mountain playset from M.A.S.K and adapt it abit! LoL

Hmmm, that's odd...it lets me see the pictures even when I'm not logged into the forum. Maybe after all the years of American car bashing they've blocked all the British?

I got this email from Ewan from that model site "The Street Hawk range was produced by a compnay called MPC. They no longer exist. The model were produced in the early 80's. If your lucky you might find some on eBay or wait till a remake of the series becomes a movie. Don't know if this will ever happen."
They got our hopes up.
