I think/hope he's doing some of the episodic suites too. not just the main theme. Can you just confirm Julian? Yes Dan, but I would want to realize a new track using your examples ( like Vegas Run melodies) and others, but using my own creativity... in a long megamix-music.I'm working for it... every day is a new step ahead ! Bye

Ah, okay. :-) I do like the way you are using your own creativity, and using the themes in your own way. I was hoping at first you would do a faithful cover of the original tracks (but longer) but I think what you are proposing is better and makes the music more current and up-to-date for 2007. (I dare say even TD would have difficulty now replicating their streethawk sound if they were to produce an ost album. Some tracks I imagine would only be less than a minute long, some longer, so they would have to get back into the studio again and rerecord a lot in order to release an album today. I don't think that will ever happen ) Even though we have only sampled a small part of your talent so far, I would go as far as to say that if someone was to hear it, they probably would think it was Tangerine Dream! It is so wonderful you are doing this for us all. We owe you one! Ciao.

Julian. Don't mind Josh! The meaning of "you da man" translates from Black American to English, "you ARE the man" meaning, simply, "well done you're a very fine person!" LoL ;D Don't worry, we can understand you okay. You speak better English than I speak Italian, so don't worry! These preview clips are very, very impressive! You're certainly wetting our appetite. Can't wait for the final version. Well done to you!Dan

Don't mind Josh! The meaning of "you da man" translates from Black American to English... Dan, After all the help you and Ducati have given me to navigate the cultural hotspots of English & Irish culture, I am going ot return the favor. Due to America's history and the civil rights movement, there are quite a few landmines when it comes to talking about people of African descent (it actually borders on the asenine at times). "Black American" is not a term that is normally used. It would generally be stated as "African-American". The term "Black" may or may not be offensive depending on its use and the context. Regarding the phrase that Josh said, he was speaking in a language style known in America as "Ebonics", which is basically street slang spoken by African-Americans the inner cities. Its similar to Cokney in that it's not an official language, but rather a combination of colloquial phrases and accentuation. Honestly I think its a bit ridiculous how hyper-sensitive people are these days. I wouldn't have a problem if someone were to call me a "White American". Actually, if they were being honest they could call me "Fat" too.

Thanks Scott. You know, I would probably normally say African-American as well, but for some reason black american just came out and I could understand how, by some people's standards, they might find offense with that, even though it was said with no malice. Odd though, Google Black American and it gets quite a lot of results. The Black American Film Festival for one, and BlackAmerican.com Racial definitions are somewhat of a minefield in today's culture as you say. Where it is understandably offensive now (and rightly so) to call someone a "n*gger" for instance, African men will often call themselves it amongst their own groups. Also Pakinstani males too call themselves "p*ki" as a form of endearment. Is that not being racist against their own kind?? I find it especially odd in Asian cultures. They have a very distinct class system where the divide between poor and rich is a huge gulf. Poor people are stoned, cast out and refused certain jobs.
The world is more the richer for the different contrasting cultures and races, but a very confusing and complicated one which is made even more difficult when so-called "liberal" minds dictate what is offensive, what is not, and stir the pot trying to pander to ethnic minorities and actually really insulting their intelligence in the process.
Appreciate you putting me right though. ;-)
And now ladies and gentleman, back to the programme ... ;D
