Hi Julian. :-)
Wow, you know how to make an entrance! :-) How wonderful that you've come here to share this with us.
You have a lot of talent to do this. I love the tracks you've done. When I have more time tommorow I'll happily listen to what else you have on your site. The compositions especially the first track reminded me of Jean Michel Jarre does Street Hawk! I love this album. It's a total reworking and something new. It's more than I could ever do. I know everyone here, especially Sequencer, will like to say "well done" to you personally.

Hey MadeOfMe! Wow, that is awesome! I'm listening to it, and I really like it. It's an original piece of work that truly pays homage, not just a remix or cover. I think you've done some really interesting things with the original melodies, and especially like the incidentals. I was wondering, could I have your permission to use this music on a project I might start working on in the future? I've created a diostory, which Josh graciously hosted on the main website, please feel free to view it here: www.streethawkonline.com/FanFiction/SHDiostory1/index.htmlMy dream is someday to tell this story in animated form. I doubt it will ever happen, as it will likely take more talent, money, and time than I will ever have. But if I do ever manage to accomplish this, I'm going to need appropriate music for a soundtrack. Your music would be perfect. Would it be okay with you if I used your music in such a project? If not, that's quite all right. I understand this is your creation and you have the right to do with it as you chose. The fact that you shared it with us all is a privaledge you've granted us all. Please come back to our forum as often as you like! I hope that the creation of this album is an indication you are also a Street Hawk fan. So welcome to the group, MadeOfMe!

Julian. I'm so bowled over by this album I had to comment again. I think things like this should be heartily encouraged, we don't see near enough original fan creations. With the problems with Tangerine Dream and the soundtrack, I always hoped someone would try and if not reconstruct their music, then reimagine it such as you have done.
Perhaps you could tell us how the album was conceived, what apparatus you used and how long it took you to do this. I'm certain Josh will host this albumon the site, if you give permission. It's just the sort of thing fans will be interested in and it will make your stuff more widely known.
Very well done. I'm playing the album again for the third time!

Hi !!! I'm back ... Primarily I'm sorry for my not perfect english but I'm sure that we'll understand anyway. Thanks to everybody for your nice words about my music work. I'll try to describe roughtly the process of creation of these project, from the scene visualization in my mind until the final music. ORIGINAL INSPIRATIONSince I was a child I've watched all the episodes of original TV Street Hawk serie ... I like it so much ... expecially hyperthrust sensations !!! A 2006's XMAS PRESENT FOR MY FRIENDSNow I'm a sport-scooter driver and since 2003 I'm a member of Tmax Club (see the follow CD's STREET HAWK RETURNS promo-topic inside its Forum - my NickName is VanDamme ) and for Christmas 2006 I made a present for Tmax Club friends ... and now also to you ... with an super-original my music CD. ORIGINAL IDEASFollows the titles and the "original idea" in my mind : 1 - STREET HAWK RETURNS The street hawk is come back on the road with a new motorcycle for fight against criminals to defeat evil ... with "hyperthrust" hits !!! 2 - DAILY PURSUIT A new day started. The street hawk is making a new pursuit ... and I'm sure that the criminal will be captured !!! 3 - LOOK BEYOND YOUR EYES The street hawk is back... but he has superior ability to preview events ... beyond its five senses can do !!! 4 - ULTRATECH A 360° look around the new motorcycle of our hero : high technology that never made before !!! 5 - THE LEGEND The hawk always existed and for ever will be remembered in the generations like the one that demonstrated us that love will always win. 6 - STREET HAWK RETURNS SUPEREXTENDED An "unstoppable" remix of original Street Hawk Returns theme, with synthetic and acoustic sounds ... in a 80's sound style ! MY MUSIC EARI'm a musician since I've 14 years old and I've learned like "self-taught" to use digital keyboards (use of MIDI and sound synthesis) and music armony (I've not attended music schools... I've done on my own!!! - my dear friend Daniele Pintaldi ... in THE LEGEND him plays the final guitar solo ... has taught me the bases of jazz and fusion). After all my preferred sound is like that of Giorgio Moroder, Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis for electronic music, Hanz Zimmer and David Arkenstone for new age athmospheres and finally, the generic 80's Pop Music sound (listen the arrangements of songs of Madonna and Breakfast Club). My music ear was born in this way... with this sounds. I don't know a lot of music theory (I'm a bad music notation reader) but my power is in my musical ear : I can listen any type of song and reproduce it on keyboard in any music scale... (for complex music like classic and pure jazz... I need more than one listening). REALIZATION OF SOUNDTRACKThe making of STREET HAWK RETURNS CD is born so, inspired to Tangerine Dreams original theme and ... making a new theme. Other tracks are made for new events music backgrounds (like described before). I've other 3 or 4 tracks of this CD in my music system... but I've not enough time to ultimate for recently XMAS ... > the instruments used are : a workstation with powered sequencer that drives a lot of music expanders; > sounds elaboration is realized transferring wave tracks on a music PC through a digital mixer with 24bit resolution ; > in the PC I realize final mix, using flat acoustic cases for linear response (my tracks play good in a portable radio also !!!) : > finally I record the final mix, after a lot of listenings , on another multimedia-PC (that I'm improving with a new professional music audio card ... now I'm still using a normal 16bit audio card for L&R final mastering ... no good for dynamic ) ; here I made the WAVEs and anytype of post-production sound reprocessing (normalizing, filtering, stereo imaging and noise reduction if needed).@ Pentastar For your work I think is better to realize dedicated tracks (like the 2nd - DAILY PURSUIT) or transform the original theme (the 1st) like a jingle. However I'm just making a STREET HAWK RETURNS DeLuxe Edition with remasterization of all 6 tracks plus a bonus track (total 7 tracks) for you. Moreover I'm preparing the JPG's of the autoproduced CD case (front and rear) for allow you to make prints to apply on CD (you can see the CDs and myself in this photo ). In future I'll describe to you the meant of the main picture on the CD.
@ Dan I would be very glad if Josh will host my album on this site... but I would make before the final DeLuxe edition... because it play very better of the MP3s that I've just shared on my website. I hope that all of you will have some patience... (expecially for my english ... ) I'm very glad to know you ... the Street Hawk alive inside me anytime I drive my automatic motorcycle !!! See'ya !!! Julian

Hi MadeOfMe! I just got done listening to the tracks and you have done a very good job of recreating the Street Hawk "feel" in the tracks. Well done! I definately will add a link to your website in my links page the next time I update it and if you would like me to host the CD, let me know and I will see what I can do. I do have a question.... How hard would it be to re-create the original Street Hawk soundtrack similar to what Mark Cairns has done with Airwolf? I'm not sure what copyright issues you would run into, but I'm sure if you didn't sell the tracks as he does, there would be no problems. The reason I ask is because many of us here have been craving a full Street Hawk soundtrack but getting it offically released is nearly impossible. You seem to have the talent to make this happen. Feel like taking on this challenge? Once agin, great work! ~ Josh

Nice one Josh! You beat me to what I was leading up to! :-)
Julian. As you yourself said you have such a good ear for music and could reproduce a piece of music, will you try for all of us to record a few tracks from the Street Hawk incidental music (not the theme, but subthemes) I know Mark Cairns told me he was going to try to release his own Street Hawk soundtrack and had gone to Chris Franke of TD for collaboration. This is when Chris refused. Mark is caught up for the next year or two what with getting Airwolf Themes #1 out on IPod, and releasing Airwolf 2. You seem like you could do this. BTW, very interesting hearing your background. I was right to pick up on the Jarre influence, also maybe a bit of Robert Miles in there maybe?
We're glad to have you here!
Dan

Primarily I'm sorry for my not perfect english but I'm sure that we'll understand anyway. Don't worry about it Julian. Dan is English, and he's not perfect either. Hehehe! ;D The background you provided on your music and your journey as a musician is fascinating. The 6 songs you shared with us have been playing constantly in my iPod. I like them very much, both from a music perspective and a Street Hawk perspective. I can't wait for your finished album. So where are you from? France? Italy? Again, welcome to the Street Hawk website!

I definately will add a link to your website in my links page the next time I update it... Hi Josh... I'm very happy how everything is going on... No problem for me... do it... great!!! ...and if you would like me to host the CD, let me know and I will see what I can do. I'll prepare a ZIP file with inside the updated tracks and CD's cases. Gimme only a little time... I do have a question.... How hard would it be to re-create the original Street Hawk soundtrack similar to what Mark Cairns has done with Airwolf? ;D It's very easy for me to do this... I can reproduce the original Street Hawk soundtrack in anytype of sound feeling, mixing it - if needed - with my new themes !!! Music has no secrets for me (almost ) !!! I'm not sure what copyright issues you would run into, but I'm sure if you didn't sell the tracks as he does, there would be no problems. In the past I've realized a lot of covers of many authors... This isn't a crime !!! See you soon... Julian

I was right to pick up on the Jarre influence, also maybe a bit of Robert Miles in there maybe? ...mmm, when I compose a music reach in my music-memory to choose the sound-style... but I don't like copy other musicians style too !!! I'll do a similar version of soundtrack, trust me ! We're glad to have you here! I'm very glad too !!! Oh Oh ... I've a lot of work to do !!! ;D Bye . . . Julian

Hello again Julian.
By all means finish your Definitive collection, and there's absolutely no rush! :-)
I assume you have the dvd's yourself so you can listen to the tracks and reproduce them? A standard recreation as near as you can to the original sound, but obviously with the technology available to you, would be good! Hey, if you can pull this off I'd be willing to pay for a copy! Obviously you want to do this unofficially, so you don't run into copyright issues. As long as you keep it clear that this is being made for fans by a fan, in appreciation of the original music. Not for commercial sale.
I'm looking forward to see what you can do. You would surely be GOD in the Street Hawk community if you could pull of an unofficial soundtrack album!!! It need not be a huge lot of tracks. I only hope you can do the track at the end of "Vegas Run"

There Dan goes again, trying to come up with even more titles we can call ourselves on the board. What, EMPORER wasn't enough for you? Just kidding!
