1. When Norman first spots the "nurse" with the gun at the airport he says, "That Nurse! He's got a gun." The man was in a dress. How was Norman so sure it was a man at first glance?
2. Altobelli tells Jesse to help Rachel. Jesse says to her, "I'm yours - body and soul." Rex had a similar line in the first movie he did (Sooner or Later, 1979) and said it the exact same way.
3. When Jesse is chasing Ferrer through the hotel lobby, Katherine Reese knocks Ferrer down with a luggage rack. Jesse just stops and waits for Ferrer to get up and run in front of the truck.
4. Notice how much Rex Smith and Ann Turkel look alike - same strong jaw and thin lips. She looks like one of his brothers in drag. In fact, I have seen a photo of his brother, Michael, from his rock band days. He looked a lot like this - better actually.
5. When SH goes into the arena, the shooter shots at him until SH stops. Why didn't he shoot when SH was sitting still?
6. When SH busts into the Press Box, there is a reel to reel tape running. When he exits, the tapes are not running anymore.

1. Maybe it was his 5 o'clock shadow 2. I've never seen Sooner or Later, sounds like Janice may be a bit of a Rex Smith groupie! 3. Dunno, maybe Jesse was fumbling around in his pockets for change to tip the bellboy? 4. Well...I don't know if Jesse was a narcesist or not, but that might have been his dream come true 5. Wasn't he reloading? 6. The film on the reel-to-reel was actually the feed to ABC for Street Hawk. By the time he exited the press box, the show had been cancelled.

2. I've never seen Sooner or Later, sounds like Janice may be a bit of a Rex Smith groupie! (Sigh) Yes. I am. I still have all his albums I bought as a teenager. My husband just recently put them on cd for me. "Sooner or Later" is where I first saw Rex many years ago. It's definitely a chick flick. Your step-daughter would love it (in a year or two). It is available on dvd. It just dawned on me that the car he drove in S&L was the Normanmobile - an older, dark green station wagon.

Favourite lines:
Rachel: (about Frank Menlo) That man, if you don't mind my saying so, is a pompous jerk! Altobelli: Not at all. Just don't say it too loudly, we still have to work with the pompous jerk.
Rachel: (about Melanie Ryan) It's amazing how many people are having plastic surgery these days, isn't it? Jesse: Rachel, your venom is dripping!

3. When Jesse is chasing Ferrer through the hotel lobby, Katherine Reese knocks Ferrer down with a luggage rack. Jesse just stops and waits for Ferrer to get up and run in front of the truck. I noticed that too. Also, he was just about to shoot Jessy.. so she basically saved his life, and yet he never thanks her. 5. When SH goes into the arena, the shooter shots at him until SH stops. Why didn't he shoot when SH was sitting still? I thought that too! I love SH, but after watching all these shows again, for the first time since I was a little kid, I have to say that one of the few disappointing things, is how SH handles gunfire. He is forever being shot at, and they are forever missing.. and it would take just one of those bullets to hit him and that would be Jessy down. In the last episode (the horse one), they shoot at him head on... and all the bullets hit SH's nose. It was so close. Just a few inches higher, and it could be good bye Jessy. And at the end of this episode, she has a sub-machine gun, and unloads at Jessy at VERY close range, and yet not a single bullet hits him. It's not that I WANT him to get hit But it is one of only a very few unrealistic things in this show, that I have to kind of ignore. A lot of it is far fetched, but they often *could* be possible with a bit of a stretch of the imagination. But never being hit by a single bullet week after week, when all he has infront of him is a very narrow bike nose and visor... Bleh. I also don't like that he goes around corners while in hyperthrust It's just very silly. In a straight line is ok, but around a corner at ~200mph just makes chuckle.
