This episode stands out as the one which blatantly makes full use of the Universal backlot, noteably the Western Lot, used for many shows as far back as "Alias Smith & Jones." Oh yeah, you gotta have a Western/Cowboy episode in your show! All Street Hawk lacked was the Ennio Morricone music from "The Good, The Bad..." for that classic western stand-off. You can bet that under Jesse's visor, he'd be squinting and showing his teeth!!!! Wonder in this episode whether the fake camera crew at the studio was infact the SH crew? If it was it would make it the only time we've seen them, other than reflected in Jesse's visor! LoL

Hey Dan,
Yeah, when I watch that scene, I'm singing out loud that tune "aieya eeya - wuw waw wuaw!"
That would be kind of cool if the camera crew had a cameo in this episode. That would be another interesting bit of trivia to find out.

I had to laugh at the end scene where Jesse fires a rocket which sends the guy flying. It's rather too animated, really a bad wire job, though I did try and look to see if I could actually see it but couldn't... It's as if the mysterious "hand of god" has stretched down and grabbed him by the trousers, helping him fly 10ft! Take a look when you next watch this bit ...

I've mentioned it before, but I'll repost it here again just as meaningless trivia ...
The song being sung at studios during the filming scenes is "Safety Dance" a cover of the hit by Men Without Hats - a great anthem of the 1980's and recently also sent-up in the very funny "Futurama."

If I'm not mistaken that stuntguy was launched with a "air-ram". It's a rectangle kind of box that pops up on one side launching someone into the air. If I remember correctly (without checking the episode) I think you can see a portion of this device in the episode Hot Target. Watch when Jessie fires the rocket at the jeep near the end. The guy blows up into the air and the device can be seen as it pops up on one side.

Thanks for these little tit-bits! I'll go look for the air-ram now. Well spotted!

Make up your own mind here about the "fake" film crew. If you were a director (Daniel Haller) shooting an episode of a fast moving tv series in your own backlot, would you employ extras to be a fake film crew, or would you do the job yourself?

Shot down in flames! LoL Well, not Daniel Haller, but maybe an AD? I still thinks it's a fair chance this is the real SH crew don't you? We saw them often enough in the reflection of the helmet. The camera looks like the real deal. People are mooching around the background like they have a job etc. Dunno who the guy in the white slacks is. Perhaps Haller didn't want to appear?
