Julian,
First off, a big THANK YOU for another Street Hawk soundtrack. The fact that you put so much work into the album and then shared it with us all for free says a lot about your generosity. And it's also a great Christmas gift, so I'm doubly appreciative.
I'm just now listening to the album for the first time, so I'll give you my first impressions:
1. "The Beginning" - The beginning of this track takes me right back to the Pilot episode, and I think you did a good job interpreting where the soundtrack might go from there. This is just the sort of thing I was hoping you'd do with the obsure incidentals in the show.
2. "The Man and The Machine" - I immediately recognized this from your demo tracks, although I was half expecting to hear you sing "The man and the machine" like you did on the demo. This song definately has an oriental vibe to it, and reminds me a little bit of Jan Hammer's work on Miami Vice, which would definately be appropriate for the era.
3. "Street Hawk Adventures (Part 1)" - Very 80's-esque intro, and then really hooks in at the 0:50 mark and doesn't slow down until the very end. I'm very happy with this song.
4. "The Fate of a Hero (Jessie)" - I hear a little bit of the melody from the theme, but really I have to consider this song more of a creation of Julian's rather than a reimagination of a Street Hawk theme. Still, on its own it's very good and would compliment the original Street Hawk soundtrack very nicely. I can see this song being used for dramatic or reflective moments in the show.
5. "Street Hawk Adventures (Part 2)" - I knew from the demo track that I was going to like this song, and I wasn't wrong. Another fantastic reimagining of the Street Hawk soundtrack. And at the 2:20 mark, I FINALLY got what I have been waiting for, that rapid piano piece. And the guitar incidentals were a nice touch too. It turned out sounding a little different than I was expecting, but it still came out fantastic.
6. "The long road for Wisdom" - Like "The Fate of a Hero", this song is so different from the original Street Hawk theme that it's like a brand new song. I can see this song being used for the soundtrack in a lot of different ways; it's a very versitile song with some very good movements. A very pleasant surprise.
7. "The Hawk flies higher (Electronic Version)" - My biggest question with this song is; If this is the "Electronic Version", where's the "Acoustic Version"? Another masterful creation, and works well both as a transition from "The long road for Wisdom" and as a closing track to the album.
Overall I'd have to say this album is great and I'm thankful to finally have a copy. If I were to find anything lacking it would be that I just wish there were more songs; I would have especially enjoyed an extended version of Street Hawk Adventures Part 1 & 2 combined.
I don't know if the completion of this album finishes your musical exploration of the Street Hawk soundtrack. For selfish reasons I hope not, but I would imagine as a musician you're probably itching to start new projects and explore new sounds. I want to congratulate you on the fine job you did on both Street Hawk albums and I can promise you they will be enjoyed by myself for a long time. You've given a small community of fans something new to enjoy and look forward to. Being a fan of a show that ended over 20 years ago, that's something rare and priceless.
Thanks again for your hard work and generosity!

Very nice Julian! Good Job! I will be adding a link to the new CD as soon as I get a chance to update the site. Thank you Josh... The right choice to set a direct-link on my website... because I'm modifying something in my SHA's tracks (especially in ADVENTURES Part 2), just for give them a "vintage-touch" ... as original TD's scores. To S.H. fans like that sound... and I don't want to disappoint. Bye Julian

Julian, First off, a big THANK YOU for another Street Hawk soundtrack. ... for your hard work and generosity! Thank you Scott for your "way-to-see" my tracks. As I already told Josh am changing something in Street Hawk Adventures ... especially in Part 2, where I'll remix sound on "vintage-style" and inserting my first original "piano-shortcut" demo too. These are my "points-of-view" about my music : 1 - The BeginningThis is a remake of the overture-theme on 1st episode of SH serie, within some drawing and armony personal-changes. I tried to reproduce the original sounds of TD's analog-music-machines, adding stereo-imaging feel for some timbres. NOTES for next release of SHA : just a new equalization touch, no other changes. 2 - The Man and The MachineThe song groove is a synth-pattern that goes in first part of song (the machine), next steps are harmonic breaks (the man) with oriental melodies (the balance in martial arts). NOTES for next release of SHA : just a new equalization touch, no other changes. 3 - Street Hawk Adventures (Part 1)The adventure begins : the hawk runs on the road with a "cleared and counted" hyperthrust in the middle. NOTES for next release of SHA : apply a "vintage-feel" for some timbres and a new equalization touch, no other changes. 4 - The Fate of a Hero (Jessie)Scott, your way-to-see this song into a dramatic or reflective moment of a (future) show fits to mine exactly ! Jessie understands that his fate will be a hero for ever. NOTES for next release of SHA : just a new equalization touch, no other changes. 5 - Street Hawk Adventures (Part 2)The adventure continues : running on the road and a epyc piece after the start, then the piano-piece and a flying moment from Vegas Run, before of an oppressive pursuit session. I've remaked the final part from original TV series to end this track. NOTES for next release of SHA : apply a "vintage-feel" for some timbres and copying the original piano-piece from my first demos, a new equalization touch the last thing. 6 - The long road for WisdomVery quetly starting (the beginning)... for evolving to awareness (the goal). This track is a parallel-reality with my life during SHA CD's making, or with the every-day-life of us. All instruments was played on my music-system, as also guitar and orchestral themes. NOTES for next release of SHA : just a new equalization touch, no other changes. 7 - The Hawk flies higherThe original theme of this tracks derives from an overview of Street Hawk Returns theme. There's also an acoustic version of this but it needs a singer (I'm still looking for...). The version on this CD has been made from the acoustic version, a very nice pop-reinterpretation of SHR theme... but still in pre-production step. NOTES for next release of SHA : just a new equalization touch, no other changes.Scott, about you request to get an extended-version of S.H.Adventures tracks... you will know soon as possible, maybe I'll realize very similar tracks in another CD. The next release of SHA will be ready before Y2007's end, just re-download and play. Thanks again for all. Julian

Julian,
Thanks very much for making this contribution. I know it took many long hours to perfect. I've listened to the entire album several times (sounds great on my home stereo with the subwoofer cranked up), and think you did a great job capturing the feel of the show.

...I've listened to the entire album several times... Hi Seth, thank you for appreciation. I'm finishing masterization of ultimate release of SHA's CD very improved, especially track #5 (Street Hawk Adventures Part 2) with : - extended duration - changed themes sequence - imroved my-demo's piano-piece inside Tracks 3 and 4 were remasterized and equalized. Tracks 1, 2, 6 and 7 were better equalized only. This ultimate version of Street Hawk Adventures CD sounds much better than on-line album.See'you soon, friends.
