We are having a heat wave. It's 74° here today. People are shopping in shorts, t-shirts & flip-flops. Gotta love it. We had an offer to go to the coast this weekend, but could not go. Temps were going to be near 80°. It should cool down for Christmas, but I hope it warms back up.

Well we are having a rain wave or cold wave or whatever you want to call it over here and I will probably need a speedboat to get to work soon so I will say this now if anyone happens to see a black Ford Mondeo floating by please contact me.

A soggy, misty December day today! When the sun does break through the cloud it is quite warm but the temperature at night is cold. I love to live in a temperate climate. I like to feel the Seasons. Winter is cold, Summer is hot. I love to see the colours of the leaves in Autumn. Though I don't do Christmas, I do like the time of year. For me it wouldn't be the same if I was sitting out on my patio with a cold beer. As nice as the thought of that is :-)

We have seasons. Summer is just 6 months long, LOL. Then 2 months of fall, 1-2 months of winter and 2-3 months of spring. We had a beautiful fall this year. The trees were amazing.
I am grateful for the reprieve this year. Last year on Dec 15th we had an ice storm. My power was out for 6 days. It is amazing what you can learn to live without.

I was just talking to a guy who is an Anglican priest living in Ontario,Canada. They just got hit with a horrific snow blizzard which took out most of the city. I know America is not all sunshine and (fake) smiles and has a pretty temperate and somewhat scarey weather cycle. Tempests, storms and whirlwinds. Earthquakes, flash fires, vicious snow storms, rain. Yeah, I SO want to live in America! ;D Just heard from a friend who lives in California. Her house burnt down the other week and she lost 80 percent of her stuff. Not sure how it started but this heat wave may be a contributing factor ...
