I'd give anything for a Knightboat movie ... "Knightboat - the Crime Solving Boat!" :-) "Oh no Michael, we've entered a canal!"

Okay, I admit it. There is no such series as Knightboat! I watch too much "The Simpsons" okay. Is that a crime? Well, probably in Texas I don't doubt! hehe

Well, probably in Texas I don't doubt! hehe You're watching American satire and LIKING IT??? Oh dear, we really have corrupted the world. Actually, that is a hilarious show, I'm glad that the humor isn't lost in the translation. Hey, I used to enjoy watching "Are You Being Served?" all the time in Jr. High, so I guess humor can go both ways (just like Mr. Humphries).

LoL. I like a fair bit of American satire actually. I talk primarily of The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park (okay,Canadian) all have such a sharp wit which is easily translatable over here. On the other hand, Cheers, Seinfeld, Friends, Frasier I don't find in the slightest bit funny. Friends was big over here at one point and then we realised we'd been jipped. It is a big pile of steaming poo! I don't like seeing American versions generally of British made stuff. Red Dwarf and The Office for example. They both lost the subtle humour that we, more than anyone else, apart from maybe the Scots and Irish, have. I just think it comes of being alone on an island for so long and having to put up with having the French over the sea! LoL
Hehe. We sold you all our old BBC period drama and humour and we got your action/adventure tv. Fair trade I guess. Stuff like Fawlty Towers, Benny Hill & Dad's Army etc is so quintessentially English. We all have a little Basil Fawlty in us... "Just don't mention the war!"
American tourist to Fawlty: "I'd like a waldorf salad!" Fawlty: "Sorry, we're fresh out of waldorf!" :-)

I live in wales and not many people here have heard of street hawk, but i watched it growing up and loved the show, and i think that this is long overdue a movie.
I think the film would have to be done very slick, and dark, with a lot of action and a very good story.
It could start off with rex character dying or being killed. His son goes to a dark place and has to find himself he comes across some information about street hawk, being intrigued he goes on to do what his father used to and that is how street hawk could be reborn.
I think the lead should be by a unkown actor who can make the bike and the movie his own and lets hope its not the last we see of steet hawk

Hey John. Welcome! Thanks for your input. Interesting ideas. I'm not sure I like the idea of Jesse dying. One would hope, as a fan, that it would be sensitively handled if they did. Not, "Oh well, the old guy is dead. Look here's our new hero!"That's IF they make any reference to Jesse Mach at all, and they may choose not to and start the concept afresh. I'd choose that first and foremost as I don't relish seeing someone doing a remake, or anyone else being Jesse Mach. Steal the idea and do something new and inventive with it, but for heaven's sake, keep respectful to the memory of the old show! Let's not have another Dukes of Hazard. It's nice to hear people's differing opinions on what they want from a new Street Hawk. This exercise has been great, and even though I think the movie is fake, it's generating some interesting debate. I live in wales and not many people here have heard of street hawk, but i watched it growing up and loved the show, and i think that this is long overdue a movie. Another rerun again, this time on both sides of the Atlantic, would be great. The US Sci-Fi channel are about to rerun Airwolf starting this Christmas I understand.
