Ducati and Scott up a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!
I think Scott might have a point. Jokes have their place, perhaps we should resign to abusing each other on one thread only?

In regards to the boots I havent got the slightest idea but I do have a few friends who work in motorcycle clothing and I have asked them to watch out for a pair, it may come to nothing but if they do find a match you will be the first to know When I was choosing my boots I found a pair which kind of look like the SH ones, they are the closet match I have found to date, here is a pic: If you are try to get the closet match I would suggest buy a pair like mine and then get someone to modify them?!?! Looking at your avatar Scott, Do you have one of the SH riding suits? PM me if you want the name of the boots. BTW Can I have a medal for bringing back a 3 yr old thread? ;D ;D ;D Great find on these boots! A similar style such as these would work just fine. Yes, I do have a Street Hawk riding suit. Actually I have two. One, the better version as Rex Smith was seen wearing. The other a stunt version, not custom made like Smith's suit, but more like a work uniform modified to appear as the real riding suit. The stunt suit I can fit, but it's a bit too snug for me. Smith's suit fits me, that's the one I'm wearing in my avatar.

Scott. Were these the ones Will Fong had and sold, or other ones? I seem to recall the stunt suit looked like an all-in-one boiler suit. The one that Chris B had, previously owned by Andy B and Eric, also was a Rex owned one apparently. One suit appeared on an episode of Weird Science. A few shots I've seen of another variation where there was orange ribbed piping on the shoulders. There must have been at least half a dozen suits.

The custom made suit is very nice, is lined on the inside, padded, great material. The stunt suit, is just what it is, made for stunts. No lining, even the silver stripes aren't made of the same quality material as the custom costume. The leg and elbow pads are cut a bit different and are a single piece of material as opposed to the custom suits padded elbow and leg pads. I'm sure they had several custom and several stunt suits. The first time I ran across one for sale was probably 1994 or 1995. It was advertised in a monthy mag here in the states called Toy Shop. This mag featured ads for collectible toys for sale, but also you could find ads for other sorts of items too. Anyway, I wish I had not been in between jobs at the time because this seller had a Street Hawk costume AND the costume from Automan. Both for $250.00 each. Dan since I also know you are a Airwolf fan, also for sale was the original Lair matte painting used in the 2nd & 3rd seasons of that series. There were several other odds and ends too, such as a Knight Rider crew jacket, crew cap, and if I remember right a KR crew vest. if only these items would have been for sale a year earlier, or a year later. At the time I just did not have an extra $250 to spend on even one of those costumes. They were a real steal at that price!

Ah, the days before Ebay hey?! Wow, those would have been a *steal* indeed... I also over the years have passed over golden opportunities to own certain things and (regretting them instantly) it seems, these things come up when I don't ever have the spare cash to buy them!!! And, when you do eventually have the disposable cash, you can't find interesting stuff for toffee! :-(

I do remember it was for more than $250, and the size was very large. I'm kinda surprised with so much Airwolf stuff showing up in the last 3 or 4 years that the painting has not resurfaced. Either for sale, or just by whoever now owns it posting info on it. However some people like to keep that stuff to themselves. I totally agree about the cash situation, I've experienced the same as you many, many times.

Yeah, imagine how many people would go for that painting now? It'd easily go for $10,000 or more. I happen to know a few people in the AW community who've got original pieces - the helicopter add ons, original suits and helmets etc. Yes, it is funny how certain props and things never resurface again. You'd expect some people to tire of them eventually, and in this day and age people find they need the cash for something else - there are lots of different reasons for someone to sell. Some things you find will change owners many, many times and some things you'll only see for offer once in a lifetime.

I know those people, and your right, they would buy that painting in a heartbeat. I agree on your reasoning, so we may get a chance again someday to get those items we missed once before. Only I'm afraid the price asked now would be waaayyyyy out of my range.

I own a fair few original props and bits myself from a certain show I'm also a fan of, and I have to say, hell and high water would not make me sell most of them. They are keepers, I've said even if I have to wear rags I'll still keep a hold of them. I negotiated a really good deal with a guy who used to work in tv who'd essentially filled his car up 20 years ago with stuff from a skip outside of the production offices. Original storyboards, scripts, call sheets and props ... I've now got a lot of it. What they would go for now on Ebay would make me a rich man, but they mean too much ... So, you see, I'm a "millionaire" on paper. Does that count??? hehe (well, not quite)

At least for those items that mean the most to me.
